Yoast released version 20.0 introducing major changes to the user interface intended to make it easier to optimize WordPress sites.
New User Interface
The Yoast 20.0 user interface does away with the old method of making users click multiple tabs to access pages with many options.
The new version of Yoast introduces a card-style interface.
The card user interface does not require the user to select a tabbed interface method. It presents information as a series of features that the user can turn on or off. It’s an easier and more intuitive way of doing things.
Each category has its own row, with cards representing settings that can be toggled on or off.
The structure of the settings page is as follows:
Each card, which is a setting, has an image above, an explanation of the setting under the image, and in the footer area of the card there is an on/off toggle and a Learn More link to the Yoast web page that explains certain things. settings.

A user can know, literally with a glance, the settings in all categories, on or off just by whether the card has color or no color.
It’s a macro view of all settings pages that allows users to get a quick overview, something that’s not possible with the tab-and-click-and-scroll way of navigating settings.
Each card that corresponds to an individual setting has a brief description of the setting.
Users also have the option to click the “learn more” button to visit a web page that explains the specific settings in detail.
The “API Integrations” settings page follows the same card-style user interface that also makes it easy to see what integrations are possible, such as integrating Yoast into Elementor workflows, and then enable those integrations.

I had the opportunity to install the preview version of Yoast 20.0 on a test site and was impressed with the initial setup and the new user interface.
I have been practicing SEO for almost 25 years and this version of Yoast is the easiest to use SEO plugin I have used to date.
The new user interface is thought to be so good that almost anyone of any knowledge level can use it without having to read the manual. But if one needs information, the information is just one click away.
